This beautiful mare was the culmination of decades of a breeder's work. She went to a trainer for 90 days of saddle-breaking, She came home confused, frightened and really bucking. Her owner is one fine horse hand, but the mare bucked her off and hurt her. She decided to sell her, but there was not much interest in a horse that was bucking. I convinced the owner to let Jeff re-start her and see if we could fix it. She is a soft, quiet, sweet, confident and slightly lazy mare today,

The original trainer is a talented rider, a good horseman and runs a significant training program with a full book and junior trainers under her supervision. The error ocurred not from ignorance, nor neglect, but diligently trying to force the mare onto a timeline. They saddled her on Day One, and every day after, but they didn't allow her the time to understand WHY. And let me tell you-this mare had questions!
