You are precisely my cup of tea!

It's a very ancient saying,

But a true and honest thought,

That if you become a teacher,

By your pupils you'll be taught.

(Chorus)

Getting to know you,

Getting to know all about you.

Getting to like you,

Getting to hope you like me.

Getting to know you,

Putting it my way, but nicely,

You are precisely,

My cup of tea.

Getting to know you,

Getting to feel free and easy

When I am with you,

Getting to know what to say.

Haven't you noticed suddenly

I'm bright and breezy?

Because of all the beautiful and new

Things I'm learning about you

Day by day.

We each spend some time sitting with our horses. It's a pleasant break in the day between working each horse, and very likely also the most productive work we do. We set boundaries, but at the same time, we really invite them into our space...and they THRIVE from the experience.

I have ridden all sorts of horses and been in plenty of life or death predicaments with them, and I will tell you on no uncertain terms, I don't want to be in a wreck with a horse that doesn't like or trust me!

I promise you, when you are "bright and breezy", they are too, and the two of you can move mountains together!

"Getting to Know You" from the Rodgers and Hammerstein 1951 musical, The King and I
